Meet Renee Flores

Renee, a Bay Area native, made her way to Sacramento to attend California State University, Sacramento, where she earned her BA and MA in Special Education, along with her Elementary and Special Education Credentials. It was also at CSUS where she met her husband, and they were married in 1978. After settling in Rocklin, where they raised their two daughters, Renee embarked on a fulfilling teaching career in public schools. However, both she and her husband felt strongly about pursuing Christian education for their children, leading them to a transformative journey at FLCS.

Renee's dedication to education extended beyond her family; she taught at Trinity Christian, Capital Christian, and FLCS. In 1995, she joined FLCS’s staff, where she contributed her talents both in teaching and administration for a decade. Her passion for nurturing students was also evident through her coaching roles—she led the cheerleaders, while her husband coached the JV Girls’ Basketball team and boys' baseball.

In 2005, Renee was called to Adventure Christian School, where she spent 17 years leading the school with faith and dedication. Throughout her tenure, she maintained a strong connection with FLCS, collaborating on various initiatives and encouraging Adventure grads to consider FLCS for high school. Renee is thrilled that two of her grandsons are now students here, bringing her family's educational journey full circle. Her other two grandsons continue their education at Adventure Christian.

Renee’s commitment to integrating a Biblical worldview into education is unwavering. As a board member for FLCS, she brings her extensive experience and passion for Christian education to support the school’s mission and enrich the community.
